A word from our founder
Life’s journey has mountain top experiences & low valley moments. Have you ever wandered why God did not answer your prayer? Have you ever wondered why he did not move that mountain you prayed to be moved? Has your faith ever been tested? At one point of my life, I experienced a serious “valley” moment. I prayed and fasted to God about a mountain I was facing. But guess what - he did not move that mountain. I was upset, confused, and hurt. I felt as if life was caving in all around me. My next move was dropping to my knees, crying out, and surrendering to him. God had other plans for me - plans to prosper me and for my good. He walked with me through that low valley and up to the top of that mountain. He was with me every step of the way and as a result, I began to form a deeper relationship with God, seeking guidance and wisdom. My faith in him and his power increased tremendously!!! It was from that day forward that I learned about this faith-walk.
Walking by faith sounded easy, but in that season, I did not feel I had the mustard seed-sized faith. Letting go and letting God was the beginning of my faith walk. I had to trust him (when I could not see the way). I had to trust God to carry me through (I felt all alone). I asked God to help my unbelief (seeking direction and wisdom from God). I found him to be my Jehovah-Jireh, for he provided EVERYTHING I needed!! What the enemy sought to break me - God made me! It was from that valley experience, I saw his good work in me and through me. From that time forward, my heart’s desire was to tell others about this God and to pour into others. That was the beginning of my story for Faithwalker Ministries, Inc.
When I first began this walk, I assisted others with event planning and products. I utilized my resources, skills, and abilities (along with faithful family and friends) to provide services and products to others. I wanted clients to be INSPIRED by the gifts God had granted me to provide to them. My heart’s desire grew from there to help those in unsheltered locations. We have helped over 200 families, in multi-counties with hygiene products, backpacks and school supplies. We partnered with local shelters, nursing homes and schools to provide our time and holiday gift bags filled with necessities and goodies. Our desire is for others to feel ENCOURAGED in spite of their circumstance. From there, my heart flowed in the direction of helping pour into women. We started a women’s fellowship group that met several occasions for spiritual EMPOWERMENT conversations. The purpose of “Sister Talk” was to inspire, empower, and encourage women. The impact of these sessions was so full of God’s spirit. So here we are, being led by God, desiring to be an answer to someone’s prayer all over the world.
