Ephesians 6:13
When preparing for battle, you arm yourself and gather your gear. You never enter a battle unprepared. You ensure you have all your armor and the right mindset for combat. This is true for both physical and spiritual battles. You must always be prepared so that you don't have to rush to prepare when the time comes. Life is full of battles, and God has provided you with the tools and equipment to be ready. Are you utilizing them?
The Word of God is living. When you read or hear the Word, and it resonates with your soul and heart, it transforms you. This transformation occurs when you accept and act upon the Word. You have the option to receive, believe, and permit the Spirit of God to change you to become more like Him. The decision is yours.
Proverbs 3: Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.
In your darkest hour, seek a light in the darkness. In times of uncertainty, seek clarity. In moments of hopelessness, seek hope. God is the answer to all you need. Simply reach out to Him and ask. He is your Father, caring for all your needs and concerns.
Joshua 1:8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
God is so good that he tells you what you need to be successful and to prosper in life. The word of God clearly states that you need to study and meditate on his word so you will know how to walk in obedience. Not only will you know how to walk in obedience, you will know what obedience looks good in God’s word. You are commanded to study and mediate daily on the word of God.
Heart Posture of Receiving
After asking God to examine your heart and removing the clutter and unnecessary burdens you've been carrying, items not needed for His purpose, you must stay free from excess. Such excess can leave you confined and immobile. Carrying pain, resentment, regret, and unforgiveness in your heart leads to bondage. You cannot fully receive what God has in store for you because you lack the freedom and capacity to sustain His gifts. Being bound obscures your vision of God's message. Therefore, daily repentance is essential as long as you draw breath. Continually ask God for a pure and receptive heart. Do not forfeit what God has planned for you.
HEART CHECK :
In order to be in a position or posture to hear from God, your heart must be right. Your outer actions will be as a result of what is in your heart. God wants to do a check up on your heart. What will he see? You must have a pure heart to serve him, honor him and obedience to him. Do you have things in your heart that you need to have surgery upon, if so….repeat this prayer
“Lord, I come to you as my Lord and Savior. Lord as creator of all things, I am requesting open heart surgery. I come to you as my original manufacturer. Lord, I give you permission to fix my heart. If there is anything that is not like you, please remove it. If there is anything that is hindering my walk from you, please remove it. Father, God give me a pure and obedient heart. Lord let my heart be right with you. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
