SCHOOL SYSTEMS
Proverbs 22:6 (YLT) “Give instruction to a youth about his way, even when he is old he turneth not from it.
We go into the various school systems and sponsor a teacher or child that may be need of assistance with school supplies or donations for events. We volunteer our time and assist with any administrative duties the staff may need (ie. tutor, proctoring, copying, covering classroom). We host a back to school drive to help children in the neighborhood or schools that may be lacking necessary supplies to have a successful school year.
HOSPITALS & NURSING HOMES
Romans 12:13 (NLT) “When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.”
We make visits to the hospitals / nursing homes handing out encouraging and inspiring cards for the sick or disabled. We visit patients that have no family and pray with them, reading the word of God, friendly conversation and social activities. We donate our time and assistance with elderly and patients as needed for during their stay. We coordinate with other agencies to assist with meals for families that have children hospitalized. We honor the elderly and seniors with our love, time, talents and gifts.
PRAYER & REQUESTS.
We consecrate time to pray for anyone that may be in need of prayer and to pray for one another. We seek God on guidance of what to pray and how to pray on all of our prayers. Prayer requests can be specific or general. Our prayers for you will always be “God’s will for your life” for we do not desire to pray anyone outside the will of God (1 John 5:14-15).
SHELTERS & UNSHELTERED
Proverbs 19:17 (NET) “The one who is gracious to the poor lends to the LORD, and the LORD will repay him for his good deed.”
We go to the domestic and homeless shelters to see what assistance or donations needed with basic every day living. We assist with interacting and care for the children as needed. We spend time with the parent listening and encourage them along their way. During cold months we may donate coats or blankets. During the holiday season we may donate toys or treat bags.
WOMENS FELLOWSHIP “Sister Talk”
1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV) “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
Monthly meetings are held to discuss a single life factor that may impact women (being mothers, wives and or caretakers). We use this time to reflect and have open conversation that women may face in life through. We utilize crafts and the Word of God as encouraging tools to take away from this segment. This time also provides time for the women to self care by taking time to self reflect as well as an opportunity to create new friendships.
